Career Guidance

The Personal Development Cafe.com

Are you getting the right career guidance?

Most of us will need Career Development Guidance or advice at some point in our life. Whether contemplating the right college or university course, looking at a change of career, or advancing within a company; planning your own career will give you a greater chance of succeeding.

Whenever we apply for new jobs or carry out a job search we usually think "If I get this, things will be better" and sometimes they are.

Getting the right career guidance and advice is the key to making the right career choices. The Personal Development NLP Career and Team Building Network.com . Photo by Rick McCharles Often things work out great and we are really happy in the new position. Unfortunately things sometimes don't work out and we end up feeling stuck. Which is followed by....we apply for new jobs, thinking "If I get this, things will be better".

However, if we were to get career guidance or advice and find out about what type of job suits us, then we increase our chances of finding something highly suitable.

One of the best ways to find our true vocation in life is to ask ourselves questions such as:

"What do I like doing?"

"Do I like working outdoors?" (would I like it if it rained or snowed!)

"Could I do some Voluntary Charity Work to improve my CV or experience?"

"How much money do I want to earn?"

"Would I like to work from home?"

"Do I like working with numbers?"

"Do I want a job at all !" (maybe you want to go to college or just learn something new)

"Perhaps you are not sure of what you want, how to get it and how to go about reassessing your needs in order to change your life.

The most important thing when choosing your employment or job is to know and understand ourselves enough to realise what we would be happy doing.

That's why it's important to .......
